Casual Misconduct contest
Privacy & data deletion
This page explains what the Casual Misconduct contest at smokeyriver.studio/casualmisconduct collects, why, and how to have it deleted. Casual Misconduct is a Smokey River Studio brand.
What we collect
- Entries are made only by logging in with Facebook. When you do, we receive your public Facebook name and a Facebook user ID, which we store only as a one-way hash. We do not receive your email, friends, posts, photos or any Page or business data, and we never see your Facebook password.
- The contest actions you complete, referrals you earn, and when.
- An optional source label from the link you arrived through (for example a poster or post name), so we know which promotion worked.
- A one-way hash of your network address, used only to spot duplicate or self-referral entries. It cannot be turned back into an address.
- One cookie (
cm_session) that keeps you signed in to your entry, plus a short-lived one while your Facebook login is in progress. There are no advertising cookies on the contest pages. - Optional Google Analytics (measurement ID G-HXZT46ZMW8), only if you choose "Allow analytics" on the contest page. Nothing is loaded or sent to Google before you choose, and entering works the same whichever you pick. If you allow it, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (
_gaand_ga_…) and records page visits: the page path, an allow-listed campaign label, the referring site's domain, and standard browser and approximate location data that Google derives. Your name, Facebook details, entry, referral code and source label are never sent to Google. Google Signals and ad personalization are off. You can change your choice any time with the "Analytics" button at the bottom of the contest page; withdrawing removes the analytics cookies from this site.
What is public
The public leaderboard shows only your first name plus a last initial, with your entries and referral counts. Contact details, IDs and hashes are never shown.
How we use it
To run the contest: count entries and referrals, spot abuse, contact and announce winners through Facebook, and understand which promotions bring people in. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep contest data only as long as needed to run the contest and follow up with winners.
Delete your entry and data
- Yourself, right away: open the contest page, log in again with Facebook, and choose Delete my entry and data. Your entry, your referral link and your contact details are removed, and the referral credit your entry gave to whoever invited you is withdrawn.
- By message: send a message to the Casual Misconduct Facebook page asking us to delete your contest entry, and tell us the name on your Facebook account. We will remove it.
You can also remove the app from your Facebook settings (Settings, Apps and Websites). That stops future logins; use the steps above to delete the contest data itself.
